Starting your first meditation

Start with a short session and make the environment easy: headphones, low light, and no pressure to do it perfectly.

Steps

  1. 1Choose a beginner-friendly meditation or a session under ten minutes.
  2. 2Tap Play and set your phone somewhere stable.
  3. 3Let thoughts come and go while returning attention to the voice or breath.
  4. 4After the session, save it if it felt useful.

Helpful notes

  • A wandering mind is normal. Noticing it and returning is the practice.
  • If sitting still feels hard, try a breathing tool before a longer session.
